He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biology and English in the year 1982 from Amherst College as well as completed his Postgraduate Research in the year 1983 from a renowned university, the Cambridge University.

His educational journey isn’t paused here, in the year 1987; he earned his MD from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Moreover, in the year 1990, he also received an Internal Medicine Residency from the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia.

Career

In the beginning stage of his rewarding career, when he was at Amherst College and Cambridge University, he efficiently rowed in the Henley Royal Regatta and acts as a Senior Triage Physician for almost 2 years in the Iron-man World Championship Triathlon on the beautiful surroundings of Hawaii.

As he is really passionate about his work and he continues his practice to treat professional athletes and the amateur from the medical issues related to sports medicine.

He carries an attentive and positive approach and makes every possible effort to deliver valuable services to his patients. His medical training coincided with the AIDS epidemic in 1980 and he received his specialist training in HIV care.

As a successful internist, Dr. Gary Cohan is quite punctual about his roles and responsibilities, he is known as a leader of research related to HIV and healthcare. In his rewarding career, he has treated over 2000 patients and become a huge part of the medical field.
